I got to know John when he was assisting with the installation of the ICOR Accounting System.  He was a reservoir of information and knowledge.  He was also a decent human being. His former ExxonMobil Retiree Club Members will surely miss him.

John was always the man with the answer to any and all accounting questions at Exxon.  It was a pleasure to know and work with him for many years.

Bonny, may the love of God comfort you during this time.  Your Dad (John) was my friend and mentor.  I enjoyed working with him for many years at Exxon.  After he retired we managed to keep in touch over the years.  I truly regret missing the service, but did not know in time.  You are in my prayers.  Debbie Sisson

I grew up in Grace Methodist Church, and from my earliest memories John was a part of that.  His whole family, and also Margaret and the Niislies were key members.  They are all together now, and no doubt key members of Grace in Heaven.

Bonnie, So sorry to hear about your dad. You know he is happy to be with your mom. My paryers are with you and your family.

I have know John and his family all my life at Grace.  He has been a friend and lately our teacher.   We at Grace will surely miss our wonderful, faithful John.

John was one of my very special people when I pastored Grace UMC in the Heights.
He was a 2nd (maybe 3rd) generation member of the church and always always was concerned about church growth and supported all efforts to make the church grow.  Grace UMC has lost a very valauale and well-loved member.

My neighbor, Ms. Blankenship (86), knew Mr. Rundell for many years through her church, Grace United Methodist Church in the Heights. She says that Mr. Rundell had been a member of the church since birth, and that he was a very nice, and likable gentleman. I did not know him personally, but wanted to share this information. He was a friend, of my neighbor, and will be missed.

My prayers are with Bonnie and the family.  I too knew John during our Exxon career.

John, it was a distinct pleasure having you as a client for over 20 years-I really appreciated the level of business acumen and respect we both enjoyed.
Ever the Marine, ever the U of Houston Cougar, logical while maintaining a great sense of humor, your legacy will continue.

Rest in peace now, and my deepest condolences to your family.

I have known John since my first days at Humble,Exxon,ExxonMobil in 1967.  He was a good natured fun loving guy.  I always enjoyed his humor. After I retired I often saw him in the Heights area where I live.
