John Alfred Greenwood Jr.

John Alfred Greenwood, Jr. went home to be with the Lord, April 17, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eddie Ray Cunningham Greenwood. He is survived by daughters Rebecca Riegel, Anne Hall and her husband Donald, and son John Alfred Greenwood III, and his wife Cheryl. He had 5 grandchildren, Emma Murphy, Virginia White, Cara Torres, John Alfred Greenwood IV, and Matthew Wesley Greenwood, and 2 great grandchildren, Preston Murphy and Mason Torres. He is preceded in death by sister, Mary Martin, and survived by sisters, Anna Price, Virginia Cook and Grace Boswell.

John was born and raised in Plantersville, TX, graduated from Magnolia High School, and attended college at Texas A&M University. He retired from FMC after 50 years of dedicated service. John was a long time member of St. Matthews UMC in Houston, TX where he served the Lord faithfully. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.

The family will receive friends from six until eight o'clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 20th of April at Pat H. Foley & Co. The funeral service will be conducted at ten o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 21st of April in the Chapel at Pat H. Foley & Co. A graveside service will follow at one o'clock in the afternoon in Plantersville Cemetery in Plantersville, TX.
