John Robert Clark Sr.

John was born in Lyons, Kansas on December 5, 1935, and was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from Ray High School in 1954. John attended Del Mar Junior College, and was a proud graduate of the University of Houston in 1958 with a BA in Business. He was also a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.

John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He married Sharlene Callaway Clark in February of 1960 and they had two children. His biggest passions were family, his career, his beloved ranch, and playing golf.

John was preceded in death by his parents, James L. and Euna B. Clark, brother Jimmy Clark, and sister Patsy Mylnar. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sharlene Clark, son John (Bob) and wife Joanna Clark, daughter Patti and husband Ronnie Paine, granddaughter Kacie Paine, granddaughter Taylor Arnold and husband James Arnold, and great granddaughter Ivy Lyn Arnold.

We would like to give a special "thank you" to the Home Instead caregivers and the nurses at Reliant at Home Hospice for their compassion and care.

A celebration of life gathering honoring John will be held for family and friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road, Houston, Texas.
