You were my Valentine in Kindergarten. You got me a teddy bear with a box of heart chocolates.... I got you a giant green ball with spiders in it.... We were kids and you are the one person I had the most memories with that still last from Barbara Bush Elementary.  My whole family was so sad to hear the news.... I wasn't in your life long but you gave me memories and a childhood friendship I'll never forget. You were a beautiful child and I'm sure you grew up nothing short of amazing. I hope and pray you and your family have found some sort of peace now that you're gone. Thank you for being a good human John and thank you to the people that loved him the most for making you who you became. ❤️

Hi  I am a cousin of your g-g- mother Margo Burden.  Her mother was my Aunt Georgia ( Holmes) McLeod.  I and your cousin Wayne McLeod are interested in Gathering family information.  I knew Your father Stephen as a teen-ager in Calgary as well as your grand-parents while visiting.  We lost contact after John's father grew up.  Would like to re-establish. John, I had so much fun with you while we were at Southwestern. Sending you, your mama, family, and friends love and light now and forever.

Can't get you off my mind John Burden. Everything somehow makes its way back to you in my mind. You've given me so much to think about. Although my role in your life may have been insignificant, I cannot say the same- especially now. It's telling..the kinds of things that stick with you through the years. Thank you. You won't be forgotten. You're not the kind of person any one of us could forget.

I will always remember John's great wit and amazing talent. Perhaps "sparkly" will be the cue word to always remember him! My thoughts and prayers continue to be with all of you.

John - You enriched the lives of so many people with your fiery spirit. I am honored to have shared the experiences we did, and I will love you forever my brother. That love extends to his family and friends during this time and beyond.
