Joe Monte Smith was born on September 9, 1940 in Houston, Texas to Jessie & Willie Mae Smith. Joe and his high school sweetheart the late Mablelean Wesley had two children. Joe served his country in the Army from 1964-1966. Joe retired from the United States Postal Service after 38 years of service Joe was called home to eternal rest on Saturday, August 17, 2019. Joe leaves to mourn one daughter, Yvonne Evette Wesley; one son, Vincent B. Wesley; one granddaughter, Tatiana Pinkins; four brothers; two sisters; three sister-in-laws and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Both his parents (Jessie & Willie Mae Smith), two brothers (Louis E, Smith. Sr. and Leonard D. Smith, Sr.), a bonus brother (Jesse Smith, Jr.) preceded him in death.
