Joe Allen Ford, age 90, of Houston, Texas passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Joe was born September 25, 1931 in Hereford Texas to Jesse and Olive Ford. He had 8 brothers and sisters, John Finis (JF) (served in the US Navy, World War II), James Ernest, (served in the US Navy, World War II), Rosa Ellen Lueb, George Muse Ford, (served in the US Navy, Korean War), Lee Alexander Ford (served in the US Army, Korean War), Margie Lucille Ford, Patsy Ann D’Herde, and Betty Lou Rickert.
Joe Ford served Honorably in the US Navy from 1951-1955. He is a Veteran of the Korean War; he was stationed aboard the USS Magoffin. Joe Ford graduated from West Texas University with a Bachelor in Science, along with Engineering Construction and Maintenance certificate from Texas A&M University. Joe Ford retired from the City of Houston as a Building Inspector after 20 years. He was also a lifetime member of the S.P. Waltrip Masonic Lodge No. 1328 and was a member of the Shriners of Houston.
A memorial service for Joe will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 1:00 PM in The Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. Following the memorial service there will be a reception in the Event Room at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024.
He is preceded in death by his daughter: Linda Carol DuBose, he is survived by his 4 children: Rosa Ellen Story, Joana Guilene Davis (husband Mike), Kevin Allen Ford (wife Billie), and Kenney Joe Ford (wife Leslie), his son in law: Charles DuBose, 11 Grand Children: Andrea Michelle Baker (husband Brent), Buddy Dubose (wife Jennifer), Tristan Dubose; Mitchell Davis (wife Athra), Joshua Davis (wife Marizza), Tyler Story, Madison Lim (husband Currenn) Hailey Ford, Austin Ford, Kory Ford, and Kenzie Ford, 12 Great Grand Children: Julian Jimenez, Caitlyn Baker, Evan Baker, Brandon Dubose, Lauren Dubose, Aidan Dubose, Bentley Dubose, Brooklynn Dubose, Everly Story, Mina Davis, Jensen Lim, and Aaron Davis, he is survived by his brother: Lee Alexander Ford and sister: Betty Lou Rickert.
Dad had a very dear lady friend Sofia Conedo. They spent the last 22 years traveling the world together. They loved each other very much and enjoyed those years together.
