Joan Schurman Larkin memorial to be held 10AM Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the Brookside Funeral Home - Champions, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068. Mrs. Larkin died at home Sunday June 7th.
Mrs. Larkin was born April 5, 1929 in Fremont, NE where she attended public school before graduating from William Woods College (Fulton, MO) in 1949. She lived in Fremont until her marriage to George B. Larkin, Jr. June 16, 1951. After marriage she and Mr. Larkin established their home in Roanoke, VA. They subsequently lived in Allentown, PA, Ossining, NY, Bethel, CT, Fort Wayne, IN, South Euclid, OH, Park Ridge, IL, Kalamazoo, MI, Chagrin Falls, OH, and last Houston, TX in 1977, having four sons along the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, her brother Robert and sister Kathy Schurman.
Survivors include her four sons, Ward of Houston, John of Falcon Heights, MN, Brewce of Everett, WA, and George of Woodlands, TX, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Burial is to be in the Houston National Cemetery.
