His wit, humor and intelligence will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Scott was born in Dallas, Texas, September 17, 1959 at Methodist Hospital to Claude & Patricia Roberts. He is survived by his brothers Andrew B. Roberts (wife Lori S.Roberts), John Eric Roberts, and nephews Christopher A. Roberts and Cole H. Roberts, aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
Scott graduated from Katy High School and was in the National Honor Society. With his height he also played basketball for the Katy Tigers. He then attended The University of Texas in Austin and eventually transferred and graduated from University of Houston with a degree in computer science - summa cum laude.
Scott was an highly skilled computer programmer and IT specialist in Houston and was endeared to the city’s burgeoning digital industry in the early 1980’s.
He was also an accomplished guitarist and piano player, hence his enjoyment of music including early rock, 80’s music, country, disco and symphonic masters.
Scott was an avid Houston Astros fan and a heck of a snow skier. There was no catching him on the slopes of Crested Butte, Colorado, especially when he was showing off in front of friends and his two brothers.
Scott loved traveling but his heart was in the digital world.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Claude H. Roberts, Jr. and Patricia Allbritton Roberts.
Scott was a special treasure. His friends and family will also miss his vast knowledge of history and all things related to science.
Should you wish to remember Scott in a meaningful way, the family requests you donate to the charity of your choice in his name. Thank You.
Happy trails Scott.
