Janette Irene Laired

Janette Irene Laired of La Marque Texas went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2022 at the age of 76. Janette was born to James O Barton and Georgia Nelson on July 30, 1946 in Orange Texas. She grew up in Baytown Texas and graduated from Robert E Lee high school in 1964. She met and married Raymond H Wooten in 1966 and together they had two sons, James Matthew Wooten and Mark Lyn Wooten. She was blessed to raise daughter Debra Mcgrew. She met and married Gene Laired in 2000 and they shared 22 wonderful years together. Janette is predeceased by her parents, sisters Ruby Ryan and Joyce Barton, twin brothers Ronnie and Donnie Barton, and her husband Gene Laired. She is survived by her children, Matt Wooten, Mark Wooten and his wife Cristi Wooten, and beautiful daughter Debra McGrew, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Janette Laired was born in Orange, Texas and raised in Baytown, Texas. She graduated from Robert E Lee high school. She raised two sons, Matt(biggest and baddest), and Mark(the youngest and tallest:), and one daughter, Debra(favorite:). She was the proud owner of “Janette's cut and curl”. She then worked at NASA, finishing her career in the food industry at Sysco, followed by Fontanini. She put her heart and soul in any job she had, but family always came first. She was an amazing mother that loved her children more than words can tell. Janette had a huge heart and was a caregiver to many friends and family until the end. She loved the Houston Astros and her other two sons Biggio and Bagwell! Janette loved her country and was a true Trump supporter…Red, White, and Blue through and through! Janette had a heart for the Lord and was ready to go up and see her siblings and mother. We miss her dearly and we will all get together one day and enjoy a cup of gumbo on Christmas Eve!We love you mom!

A visitation for Janette will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A chapel service will occur Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A graveside service will occur Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Earthman Memory Garden Baytown, 8624 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX 77521.
