Jan Stephanie Charles

God never hurts us needlessly. Our treasured Jan Stephanie Charles was a caring, loving and hardworking woman who committed herself to God and her family. She was a God-fearing woman and always shared her advice on life, love and hardships. Everyone who knew her knew she was very humble and loved to laugh.

Jan was born April 22, 1968, to the devoted J.C. Allen Sr. & Laura Allen in Houston, Texas. She departed from us on September 16, 2020, peacefully surrounded by her affectionate family.

Real love never goes unnoticed or unappreciated. Jan firmly believed in being kind and treating people how you would want to be treated. And she showed that daily. She was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church from the age of 8. Jan attended M.B. Smiley High School and graduated in 1987 and later attended Hargest Vocational College in Houston, Texas. She then went on to marry her true love and best friend Randy Charles.

Jan was preceded in death by her two brothers Leonard Ward and Willie Ward. She is survived by her Sisters Fannie Richard and Joann Allen. She is lovingly remembered by her Children Shamarian Allen, Dewayne Charles and Sharmaine Charles. Grandchildren Kalyn Charles, Kayleigh Charles, Miah Walker, Mariyah Mitchell, Malachi Mitchell, Randi Charles and Raelyn Charles. She is also survived by 5 Brothers Leotis Ward, Samuel Ward, J.C Allen Jr, Rickey Allen, and Dewayne Allen. Also, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
