Fred was born on July 30, 1938 in Corpus Christi, TX to C.T. and Hazel Pruett. He was a loving and caring husband, Dad, and Pepaw. He loved the Lord, his family, and football.
Fred was all state for Ray High School in 1955 and earned a full football scholarship to the University of Texas. He graduated from the University of Houston. He was the Audit Field Manager - Houston Office for the State of Texas Comptroller's Office. He was a tax accountant and owner operator of The Floor Store for 38 years.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Bob, Dick, and Bill Pruett; and sister Mary Savell and husband Paul.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 59 years, the love of his life, Jeannie; his children Teri Pruett, Denise Pierle and husband Tom, Jay Pruett, and Lisa Pruett; grandsons Andy, Pruett, and Murphy Pierle; granddaughter Kelly Pruett; sisters-in-law Naomi, Berna, and Dianne Pruett; and numerous family and friends.
His heavenly family welcomes him into their loving arms.
