He graduated Travis High School 1964 in Austin, Texas. He attended the University of Texas in Austin, and Central Texas University in Austin, Texas. He had a career in criminal justice and corporate security, including Chief of Police and Corporate Securities president. He was also in the movie Convoy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Perry Moore and Evelyn Marie Moore. He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Moore, his daughters, Wendy Logston of San Antonio, Linda Gonzales of the Austin Area, Sandy Crawford of Albuquerque, New Mexico, his son, James Ronald Moore Jr., and his stepsons Ryan Mosley of Houston, Texas and Todd Griffin of Katy, Texas, grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He is remembered for his sense of humor and love of music and fancy cars. He enjoyed singing, playing the guitar and shopping. He spent hours working in the yard, playing in the pool with his grandson, Kaiden, and entertaining friends at the house. He loved visiting the Caribbean and dreamed of returning.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Central Baptist Church, 2855 Greenhouse Road, Houston, TX, 77084 at 10:00 a.m.
