You’re still one of the unselfish people I have ever met. A man that would go out of your way to help anyone in need. Thanks for being a great great friend and Boss.

Richard and my husband Paul could always talk about fishing!  That’s one thing they had in common.  Most of the time Richard was quiet   We loved him and he was a good man. Gone but not forgotten!

Richard was a great guy, he was always willing the offer advice and was great at thinking outside of the box.  Richard could fix anything, and would take something working perfectly apart just so he would know how to fix it when it broke.  He tough me a lot about the towing industry and pushed me to do what it took to be on top. 

Thanks for the friendship and the wisdom, Richard you will be missed. 

1997 i had the pleasure of meeting Richard  through another driver he had at that time .He asked me what it would take for me to drive for him I said I needed to pay a fine to redeem my driver's license at that moment he walked me to his office cut a check and with his stern voice he said don't be late for work in the morning. I  still drive a Wrecker today for my neighbor but if it wasn't for RK  my life may be different and I'm a firm believer of everything happens for a reason and It was meant for our paths to meet  ...... RIP ...... my friend and thanks again for giving me a chance 

Richard was known for his ability to work hard and succeed at it. He was tuff but fair. Always tell him the truth and he could work on the solution.  He loved his family first and his career second. I remember when my transmission took a dump in my Chevy Truck. Richard said don't worry we can jerk it out and fix it. I didn't have the money at the time. Richard said, pay me when you can. This I will never forget. I showed him respect and he always treated me with respect. He was a true Gentleman. His hand shake was his bond. RIP my friend. You definitely earned it.

Our condolences to Donna and all the family.   So sad to hear about Richard.  Danny and I were thinking about you’ll not to long ago.  We cherish a lot of good memories with Richard and the family.  May God Bless you all during this time of sorrow.  Our prayers are with you.

This man influenced my life more than he will ever know. He taught me Things that helped me survive in a business and world that could be the cruel. I will never forget him. Rest easy Ricard you will be missed.

Richard was a good friend of my daughters and I had the opportunity to meet him and chat with him a few times and could tell he was a good family man a hard worker and he loved his race horses RIP Richard

I met Richard and Donna when I started dating Ken, who worked for him at Westside over 20 years ago now. Donna loved me like her own and Richard made sure that Ken didn't stick with me unless I learned to cook and he took every opportunity to bribe me into making him cakes.  He offered a fishing trip - in return for a cake.  If I needed work done on my car, I'd bake him a cake. If I wanted to just sit in the shop and watch Ken work...bake Richard a cake.  Our birthdays were close, mine after his, and he would leave me voice messages asking me where his cake was, and wishing me a happy birthday. I still have those messages saved on my voicemail. At our wedding, he left a note in front of our wedding cake that said "Richard baked this cake". We still have it packed with our wedding items. He was always there when I needed him. He never turned me away. He even stepped up a number of times to help my family. Even though we weren't around much the last several years, he always held that special area in our lives. He is what I think of when I look back at the beginning of mine and Ken's relationship. He was and always will be so special to me. There just aren't too many men left in the world like Richard King. 

Mr. King took us out deep sea fishing a couple of times.  Im sure at the time I acted like I had done it 100’s of times, pretty sure he could tell I hadn’t.  We had a great time and I still tell the story 20ys later.  We came up on a giant bed of floating kelp.  He crept the boat up to the edge and said we would likely see Mahi-mahi, not 10 mins later there were hundreds (maybe a thousand) schooling all under the boat.  The water was clear blue way off the coast of Galveston and you could see their backs shining silver 10-20ft down, truly beautiful. We were catching em like mad, heck you could just throw a hook in the water and yank it right back out with a beautiful Mahi-mahi one after another.  I will never forget the kindness he showed to Jasons friends on those couple of trips, like we were family.  Thanks James you were a true renaissance man.

Richard was one of the most honest hard working guys. I had a lot of respect for him. As being able to drive and be in the wrecker life with him. It was and honor to know him for as long as i did. Mr. Richard King was a big part of my family for many years. My parents worked for him when I was a child. Once I was of age, I worked for him as well. The King family were more than friends, they were like family.  They were by our side when I lost my brother, my dad Ricky, and here recently when my moms home burnt down.  For that I will ever be so grateful. Richard, you will be missed by many. You were a great man. Prayers to the King family as you go through this terrible loss. Love you all.

Richard was a fantastic husband, father, and grandfather. He was one of the hardest working men I’ve ever met, and he always made sure his family was taken care of. RIP Richard, I will take care of your family down here!

I didn’t know Richard well but he was a good husband, father and grandfather and that makes him a good man in my book.  RIP Richard King.  You will be missed.
