James F. Haring, age 85, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 after a year long battle with multiple myeloma. Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Haring; daughters: Marie Sweeney (Gary), Margaret Donegan (Peter), Karen Haring, Jeanne Garza (Ramiro), Lucy Haring; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 2 sisters. Jim was a professional chemical engineer; WWII veteran; member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Eagle’s Trace Resident Advisory Committee and Community Emergency Reponse Team; volunteer firefighter; intrepid golfer; enthusiastic gardener. The family thanks the Eagle’s Trace Community, The Concierge and A-Med Hospice for their support. Visitation will be 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. with a 4:00 p.m. Rosary Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Memorial Oaks. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday, August16th, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Houston. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Leukemia, Lymphoma Society.
