James Matthew Cady, age 59, died Friday, November 5, 2010, in Houston from complications of Parkinson's disease. Jim is survived by his wife, Patty Lake Cady, stepson, Jeff Kraft and wife Dawn, and grandchildren, Patricia and Davis Kraft. He is also survived by his brother, Joe Cady and wife Kathy, and nephews, Ryan and Taylor Cady. Additionally Jim leaves behind sister, Jennifer Cady and Judy Ellis, many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. Jim was born on June 19, 1951, in Memphis, TN, to Howard Wells and Mary Jo Kirsch Cady, who preceded him in death. Jim graduated from Texas Christian University in 1973 and remained an avid Frog fan throughout his life. He enjoyed travel and flew around the world several times over the years. Jim loved duplicate bridge, was a Life Master, and played competitively until a month before his death. A memorial service will be held, Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Champions Funeral Home, 3410 FM 1960 West, Houston TX 77068. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's memory may be made to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Avenue, Stated Island, NY 10305.
