James met and married the love of his life, Glenda Ruth at Irvington Pentecostal Church on October 28th, 1960. The first time Glenda saw James she thought he was the best-looking man she had ever seen. His sister, Rose, introduced them. She has called him her “knight in shining armor” on more than one occasion. To say he spoiled her is quite an understatement. She was his angel and he provided and pleased her above and beyond.
James worked for Coca-Cola in Houston for 35 years. In spite of less than a full high school education, he worked his way up from a route salesman/truck driver to an Area Sales Manager. He was known to have the cleanest warehouse in Houston. It was said you could probably eat off the warehouse floor. When James interviewed anyone for a position, they were inspected from head to toe. If their shoes were not clean, they would not be hired. That, to him, represented whether or not they would be particular in their work.
The two hobbies that interested him most were fishing and gardening. Although he loved fishing, it had to be caught and released. He never wanted the fish in his boat as they would cause it to be dirty and stink.
When he gardened he produced the most beautiful tomatoes, but he referred to any carrots that were not perfect in appearance as “freaks” because of their distorted shape.
James is preceded in death by his parents James Edward Beebe, Sr. and Orene Patrick Beebe and his youngest daughter, Sherry Lynne Beebe.

From Delores:
Thank you, Daddy, for always being sure Sherry and I were in church and giving us the opportunity to know the Lord in all His beautiful truth. Thank you for your love, humor and always providing for our needs selflessly. I love you.
From Crystal on behalf of Sherry:
Anyone who knew Sherry knew that her Daddy was her hero. She always would say that her Daddy was the ultimate man and made it hard on any of his girls and granddaughters to find a spouse that could compare to the high example that he gave. He was the nicest man in the world. He was loved deeply by my mom and their relationship was beautiful.
