on April 3, 2024, in Olla, Louisiana. He was a loving and outspoken family man, a great son, and
a father to his kids. Jalen was known as the life of the party, always willing to help others and
with a kind and compassionate heart. He had a great relationship with his parents and loved
ones, never speaking a bad word about anyone.
Jalen attended McDade Elementary, Key Middle School, and Klein Oak High School. He worked
in warehouse assembly and worshipped at Kingsland Ministries. His hobbies included basketball,
swimming, running, boxing, lifting weights, doing stunts and flips, and climbing.
Jalen is survived by his mother Sarah S. Knight, Harold L. Anderson Jr., wife Neffertitti
Gilbert, grandmothers Amalia Rodriguez and Alice Anderson, uncles Johnny and Joe Salinas,
Aunt Natasha Anderson, siblings Sandra, Fabian, Raven, La’trell, Bre’Anna, Keandre, Keelan,
Keviyon, children Nielly, Paris, Nia-Amenah, Amir, Xiomara, and a host of other family members
too numerous to name. He was preceded in death by Harold L. Anderson Sr. and great-grandmother
Natividad Martinez.
A wake service for Jalen will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Paradise Funeral Home Chapel, located at 10401 W. Montgomery Rd. Houston, TX 77088. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Paradise Funeral Home Chapel 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. The funeral service will immediately follow from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The committal will be held from 3:45 PM to 4:00 PM at Paradise Cemetery North, 10401 W. Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
