Jacqueline McCABE

Jacqueline Mauricette Paignac McCabe- age 80, ascended to heaven on February 18, 2016. She is survived by her children, Marie-Laurence (Victor) Pizzella, Frederique Dunham, Jean-Francois (Anne) Puckett, and Eric (Teresa) Rougier, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and her siblings Jeanette and Christianne and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John McCabe, parents Maurice and Virginie, and siblings Jean-Pierre, and Marie-Riene.

Jacqueline was born in Bordeaux France and studied at the St. Ferdinand School where she developed a life-long love of learning. An avid reader, she enjoyed sharing the adventures she found in books with her family. Not content to know the world only through books, Jacqueline explored the world, traveling throughout Europe and the United States, finally making her home in Houston, TX. While in Houston she help found numerous business ventures including Jean-Pierre, Inc., a well-known French bakery.

Of all the places she traveled, many of her fondest memories were of spending time at the beach or near the ocean and the enjoying smell of the ocean air. Jacqueline was known for her impeccable fashion style, haute couture with a classic timeless look. She enjoyed people and the life, love and laughter that each of them brought. She loved her children dearly and dedicated her life to them, which blossomed into a very extended family. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at Memorial Oak Funeral Home 13001 Katy Freeway Houston, TX 77079 at 1:00 pm followed by Interment at 2:00 pm.
