Jacqueline Gale Lavender

Her passions included taking countless pictures of special moments with her family, family holiday celebrations, and birthdays. She loved to be surrounded by her family and love them so many different ways.

Jacqueline was a longstanding member of the Red Hat Society and worked at Foley’s where she had many longtime friends. She was a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of North Freeway Baptist and North Park Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and Chester Marr and beloved son, Keith Godkin.

Surviving relatives include her husband of 28 years, Tyndall H. Lavender of Cypress, TX.; Daughter, Kimberly Martin of Spring, TX.; Son, Kirk and Liz Godkin of Spring, TX.; Daughter-in-law, Susan Foley of Newnan, GA.; Grandchildren, Bryce May, Kingwood, TX, Carson May, Kingwood, TX, Jared Godkin, Newnan, GA, Cole Godkin, Spring, TX.

Honoring her as Pallbearers are Cole Godkin, Bryce May, Carson May, Royce Polasek, David May, and Kyle Doherty.

All services for Jacqueline will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. Visitation will be from 11:00AM-12:00PM, Funeral service will follow from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. We will conclude with the Committal service will occur Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory and Cemetery, 13401 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039.
