Jack is survived by his loving wife, Catheryne, who came into his life at one of its lowest points, and has been his shining light ever since.
Jack also leaves behind his son, Dr. Stephen Fillman and his wife, LeeAnn of the Woodlands; grandchildren, Mathew and his wife Cassie Fillman; and great grandson, Jackson all of Austin; granddaughter, Ali Fillman Adams and her husband, Aaron, and grandson, Lane all of the Woodlands; and his youngest son, Robert and his wife, Donna who now live in Indianapolis, Indiana.
"And the sons become the fathers and their daughters will be wives
As the torch is passed hand to hand
And we struggle through our lives
Though the generations wander, the lineage survives
And all of us, from dust to dust, we all become forefathers by and by
By and by..."
He will be missed dearly by all.
The memorial service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Friday, the 4th of May, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where the Rev. Charles H. Thompson, Executive Pastor of First United Methodist Church, is to officiate.
