The Tuckers are avid lifetime fans of the Houston Astros! While in Houston Irene volunteered at the Houston Zoo for many years taking care of all kinds of animals. She also worked at the Westheimer and Hwy 6 Veterinary Clinic for many years as she loved working with animals and she would bring home many a strays and homeless animals that soon became her beloved pets, which she cared for like her own. So much that they bought a 60 Acre Farm in Frelsburg and then in 1983 they moved from Houston to Frelsburg, near Columbus and called this Farm their Home for 38 years of their 62 year marriage. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Live Oak Art Club in Columbus. As they grew older and required more care they sold their Farm in Frelsburg and moved to Weimar to be closer to family.
