Howard Garland Henderson Jr., age 77, of Livingston, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. He was born in Houston, Texas on July 29, 1945 to parents Howard (Bill) G. Henderson and M. Adell Walker Henderson.
Garland graduated from Sam Houston High School and also received a diploma from Sheet Metal Workers International Association. He later met the love of his life Lori Harris in Spring Texas and they were married on June 21, 1996. He retired after working in sheet metal at Gowan Inc. for 40+ years. He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Int’l Association.
Garland had a passion for cars, NASCAR, construction and loved being on the lake boating and riding jet skis. He was able to fix anything and had the tools to do it. He rebuilt his 1940 Chevrolet Coupe from top to bottom including the paint job. He did most or all of the construction for his homes. He was very Tech-savvy. Garland was faithful to his church and God. He was also a wonderful father, brother, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend. He was surrounded by his family and friends when he went home to be with the Lord.
He is preceded in death by wife Lori Henderson; Father H.G (Bill) Henderson; Mother M. Adell Henderson; Brother-n-law Thomas Warren.
He is survived by son Mark A. Henderson; daughter Kimberly J. Banda and husband Leonardo; bonus daughters Lisa Harris; Jamie Harris and husband Corey Lowe; Sisters Roberta Warren; Ruth A. Johnson and husband Richard; Brother Danny Henderson and wife Betty; Grandchildren Ashley and husband Jason King, Kyle and wife Brooke Henderson, Cody and wife Angell Whitt, Julia Whitt, Jaxon, Callie and Caroline Lowe, Brandon and Andie Harris, Dalton and Heather Henderson; Great-Grandchildren, Bryson King, Harper and Hudson Henderson. Along with numerous bonus grandchildren, bonus great- grandchildren, family, friends and neighbors.
Serving as pallbearers Leonardo Banda, Frank Johnson, Kyle Henderson, Cody Whitt, Braxton Harris, Corey Lowe, Chris Johnson, John Angenend, Mike Lenfest and Kenny Bravenec.
Special thanks to his neighbors and friends who were so good to our dad and brother.
