Hermonie loved her family and prayed for them daily. Her faith in Jesus was the cornerstone of her life and it showed through the way she treated people. She grew up and raised her family in Houston but moved to East Texas in 1989 when her husband retired from Big 3. She invested in the lives of many in her 30+ years working at Camp Fern in Marshall. Children of all ages were forever changed by her generosity and kindness and hated to see her go when she retired at 90 years of age.
She will be missed by many.
Hermonie’s favorite Bible Verse: (one of many) Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” In the margin of this page in her Bible are all the people that she prayed for daily. She prayed for every person mentioned above plus more. She is now an angel watching over all of us making sure we stay on track. She and her prayers will be missed so much.
Visitation will be at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home from 10am – 11:30am. A graveside service for family will be at 12:00pm on Tuesday December 6, 2022. In lieu of flowers and plants, we are asking donations to be given to Trinity Episcopal School in Marshall, Texas for their Library Fund.
