Papa Wiley was such a big man in personality and stature. He was so much fun to be around because he was absolutely hilarious. I was blessed enough to be adopted into the Wiley family's circle of love when Shatara and I attended Baylor together. Papa Wiley was a supportive father to more than his children, I felt his love and pride over my accomplishments as well. Thank you to every member of the Wiley family for sharing him. I love you all! I will miss my Papa Wiley, his life made a huge impact.

May our Almighty God of comfort cover you as you grieve the death of your husband, father, grandfather,  brother and friend.  Although you grieve, God is with all of us helping to navigate through the storms and seasons we face in life. Ecclesiastes 3:2-8 states there is a season for everything and a time for every delight…. These times include weeping, laughter and mourning.  May the gentle hands of time provide healing.
God’s tender mercies are beyond our ability to discern.  One day, He will wipe away your tears.  Until then, take comfort in knowing we are with you in prayers and support.

My thoughts and prayers are lifted up for the family during this time of bereavement.    I pray that peace and comfort will cover you like a shield.  One of my many memories will be baking sock-to-me cakes with plenty of nuts for Uncle Ray!  

I will always remember Mr Wiley for his quick wit and willingness to roll with my crazy comments.  He made me laugh every time I was in his presence and I hope I was able to bring him the same joy he brought me.  His daughter is one of my dearest friends and she opened her heart and family to me while I lived in Texas for college.  I was so privileged to be included in the Wiley family activities when I visited and truly felt welcomed by Mr Wiley and Mrs Wiley.  Wishing his family peace and love during this time.  

I did not know Mr. Wiley, but I worked with his sister Marion for many years at Raul Quintanilla Middle School. Mrs. Marion was a wonderful lady, coworker and friend for many years. After working with Marion for many years and getting to know her, if her brother was anything like her, he was a wonderful person too. My thoughts and prayers to all of the family. 🙏🙏
