Hazel Lucille Williams

Hazel Lucille Williams, 94, of Conroe, TX passed away on April 13, 2021. Hazel was born in Long Mott, TX on September 12, 1926 to Andrew Jackson Newman & Frances Lucille Patterson. Hazel was married to Jimmie P. Williams on May 2, 1950 up until his death in 1992.

She ran the office for the company she and her husband owned together, Wallcoverings Incorporated, where they served the Greater Houston Area, until they retired from the business. Hazel was a member of the Eastern Star, New Caney Chapter since 1968. She had a true love and passion for helping others. After Jimmie passed away, Hazel spent the next 25 years of her life as a volunteer at the Conroe Regional Medical Hospital until she was 91 years young. She really enjoyed her hobbies! She LOVED the outdoors, hunting and fishing. She killed her last deer and caught her last fish at the age of 91. Next in line of favorite things to do when she was taking a break from fishing or hunting, you would find her with her head down digging, yes digging for arrow heads or looking for pretty rocks. Anytime you went to her house, it was highly likely you would find a Jig-Saw puzzle in the works and you must have a seat and work on it with her. Something that made her really really happy was making sure that you did not leave her house hungry!! This goes for people and animals; she had a great love for all of her various animals she has raised. She leaves behind her precious dog “Baby” who was fed steaks or whatever everyone was eating. No, I am not talking about leftovers, she specifically made sure to cook for the animals.

Hazel had 3 brothers who have preceded her; Andy J. Newman, Robert Lee Newman & Harold Lloyd Newman.

Hazel has one deceased Great-Grandchild (Jennifer) Morgan Lane Williams.

Hazel is survived by her four sons, John A. Williams (Connie), Jack L. Williams (Sylvia) and Joe F. Williams (Sheila) George Wayne Arnold (Linda).

Grandchildren are (John) Julie, Jeff & Reginald (Jack) Jay & Jody and (Joe) Jaclyn, Jennifer, Lionell & Bobby-Joe (Wayne) Aleta, Bo & Joe.

Great-Grandchildren are (Julie) Britney, Luke, Jess, John and Stormie (Jeff) Courtney, Jordan, Jaci & Justin (Reginald) Carlee, Kaitlyn & Gracie (Jay) Lawton (Jody) Falyn & Carson (Jaclyn) Amy & Katie (Lionell) Caylee, Casey, and Logan (Bobby-Joe) Kyle & Madilynn (Bo) Hunter (Aleta) Chloe.

Great-Great-Grandchildren (Britney) Casper (Luke) Brylee.

Due on May 13th will be Hazel’s 3rd Great-Great-Grandchild who will carry her name (John Royce) Hazel.

The funeral services for Hazel Lucille Williams will be officiated by Garrett Sims.
