She was born in Knox City, TX on December 30th, 1927 to Henry and Allie Hollaway.
She was married to her husband Kenneth Steele for 61 years.
She was a member of Beech Creek Assembly of God and had a passion for her family and her life as a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Steele, and her two sons Larry and Jonny Steele.
Hazel is survived by her two daughters Helen Hollaway and Regina Schmidt, 12 grandchildren,16 great-grandchildren,11 great-great grandchildren, three sisters,one brother, as well as her nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Hazel will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, located at 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077. A funeral service will occur immediately after the visitation from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077. A committal service will take place in the Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
