Guadalupe Chavez “G.C.” Amador entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 27th, 2021. He was born and raised in Sugar Land, TX where his parents, Amado and Andrea Amador were share croppers on a cotton farm. They raised Guadalupe and his four siblings: Petra Berrospe, Justo Amador, Emma Charles, and Lola Guerra.
He is survived by his loving wife: Mary Amador, Children: Ernest Amador, Yolanda Amador, Delia and Clifford Stanley, Guadalupe “Joe” Amador Junior, and Robert Amador, Grandchildren: Josh Amador, Aaron Amador, April Rodriguez, Crystal Espinosa, Jennifer Nuñez, Scott Stanley, and Guadalupe “Junior” Amador, Great-grandchildren: Cain Amador, Diego Amador, Abigail Amador, Alexandra Amador, Angelina Solano-Rodriguez, Guadalupe “Trey” Rodriguez III, Elise Rodriguez, and Joanna Hope Nuñez.
Guadalupe embodied the spirit of selflessness. He would put others’ needs before his own, no matter the sacrifice or cost to him. Whether it was working three jobs to provide for his family or taking care of his wife, Mary in his later years. He loved Mary and his family unconditionally. Guadalupe always had a way with words, as he was a great storyteller and would listen to anything you had to say. He wasn’t a stranger to anyone who crossed his path, he was so easy-going and genuine. When you were around Guadalupe, you needed to be on your toes, as he always had a trick up his sleeve and was so innocently honest.
Guadalupe was the true definition of a handyman. He was always working on projects around his house, helping others with any home repair when needed, and enjoyed working on his cars. No project was ever too great for him. His strength, knowledge, and patience allowed him to conquer the most daunting of tasks. We couldn’t have asked for a better Husband, Father, and Grandfather. G.C. was never too busy to lend a helping hand, from teaching his sons the tricks of his trade, to being a dance partner for his wife and daughters- you knew you could always count on him to be there.
His absence will be felt for years to come, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all those who love him.
