At an early age he accepted Christ and united with Sheeler Memorial Methodist Church. He began his education in Houston Independent School District. He started his love for football with the Studewood Cobras as a young kid. He continued his football dreams at Eisenhower High School where he graduated in 2012. He received an athletic scholarship to Navarro Junior College after graduation, short lived due to a sports injury. Greg (GB) married his high school sweetheart Joycelyn B. Greene-Jackson. It wasn’t long after they married and Greg decided to serve his country and join the United States Navy where he served for five years. Greg returned back home to Houston to raise his family after the passing of his father once his tour came to an end.
Greg was a gifted athlete, devoted father, loving husband, and dedicated in the military. He was well known by the many people whose lives he touched and highly respected by his loved ones, family, and friends.
On Saturday, November 27, 2021, Gregory E. Jackson Jr., husband, father, son and brother; passed away at the age of 28 years. He is preceded in death by his father Gregory E. Jackson Sr. and Grandfather Rudolph T. Jackson. Greg will be forever missed by his wife Joycelyn and his family. He leaves to cherish his memories their precious children Thomas, Gregory III and Marlii. A loving mother Shandolyn: brother: DeMarkus, sister: Ashley. Greg will also be forever remembered by grand-parents, great-parents, his in-laws, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and dear friends. His legacy of love will forever shine through the light he has left in our hearts. Forever loved, forever missed and never forgotten.
