He was one of the most loyal people I have ever met

My apologies for the late entry, I have been on a BP project and I had not heard of Graeme's passing. I only knew Graeme in passing when we worked at Oceaneering. I always enjoyed our talks, I'm sorry I missed the wake I can only imagine the stories that must have been told.

Just learned my young friend has gone on his final adventure, his mischievous smile, personal guile, great heart and those big Adelaide flippers will remain in my memory for the rest of my days.
May you have fair winds and trailing seas mate,,, and a cool Fosters in your bait box.

To describe Graeme takes words like courage, commitment, and charisma beyond the ultimate limits of their definitions; similar to the way he lived his life. May his spirit live long through the lives of those he touched. Farewell my friend.

Uncle Graeme...the memories of you that spring to mind go way back when I was a young girl. I always envisaged you as a cowboy...well, you looked like, dressed like and spoke like a cowboy and you lived in Texas so you were the epitome of a cowboy! As I grew older I loved the times when you would come and visit my Family here in Adelaide and I always admired and had great respect for you because you loved your sister Judith (my Mum) just the way a little Brother should. I am sorry that you have left us...I remember you saying to me many times on the phone: "Danni....don't sweat the small stuff darlin'". I will hold that advice forever....thank you so much.

Your Brother in Law Gary Ruggiero remembers you fondly as a young daredevil driver in Adelaide, South Australia in the 1960's and the good times spent with you and still wishes to remember as you were then: strong, good looking and afraid of no one.....may you rest in peace.

My Condolences to the Reynolds family.  I have learned so much from Graeme, I will miss him and think of him often.

There are countless ways of attaining greatness, but any road to reaching one's maximum potential must be built on a bedrock of respect for the individual, a commitment to excellence, and a rejection of mediocrity. This quote by Buck Rodgers sums up Graeme Reynolds life. He reached for all the gusto he could get out of Life. I can only say he touched my life a long time ago.

When I first met Graeme, I was a little in awe of him.  So much life.  So much personality.  He will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

He was a ONE OF A KIND. He lead so many and touched so many in his travels he will be greatly missed around the world.
You only meet a handful of men such as Graeme in your lifetime and I am glad that I had the opportunity to know him.

Celebraing the life of Graeme Reynolds will affect people around the globe, and theres not many individuals you can say that about!
The period of time that I had to share with Graeme(ATAG & Oceaneering) will always be appreciated and held in my memories. His theroies,actions,and messages(as well numerous infamous quotes) have made an impact on so many.
 I recall an instance when he scolded me for putting my hands under a suspended load. A couple of weeks later Graeme introduced me to an individual that was visiting the shop. When I shook the mans hand he was missing a couple of fingers, then the message was clear. Graeme had a method of delivery that was exquisite.
 
You don't meet many men like Graeme  Reynolds these days, and if you do there far and few between. Graeme was one that would hold his bearing and tow the line.       

My prayers are with Shelly, Scott, and to all the family. He will be missed.

Mr. Graeme E. Reynolds I have known since first working for him at Ross-Hill Controls back in 1980.  The man desires a lot of respect from us all and I surely enjoyed working with him for some 14 years throughout his various companies.  He always had an opinion to express or a story to tell that made us all want to listen and learn.  He was truly a great man and one that was admired throughout the offshore industry.  We shall remember him well.

The world has lost one of its finest. Graeme's intelligence, enthusiasm and ability to move the ball down the field combined with his remarkable leadership and ability to see "what which can be" made him one-of-a-kind. He has set the bar very high.

I remember many years ago after I graduated from high school, my Dad wanted me to get in the oilpatch and work with him at Ross Hill Controls...which I did. History was made from then on. I worked with Graeme for many years through the good times and the not so good times. He taught me so many things about the oilfield, the world and most important about life. He always made you feel like you could do most anything and most times you did with out realizing that you had. My Dad and I had many years of long days and long nights working for a goal which was to get it done and get it done right the first time. I still hold to that thought and have tried to acheive the same thing in my life as well.

He will be missed by so many people that really never knew him like my Dad and Myself. He was my teacher, my role model and most of all a friend.

Graeme was bigger than life.  A good leader, and a kind man.  You can tell from the pictures that he was comfortable with kids as he was with roughnecks; he was very much a visionary entrepreneur of the get-it-done sort of guy.   He would do anything for his team, and we all knew it.  I’m glad I knew Graeme and had an opportunity to work for him.  Those of us who had the privilege or working with him are better for it.  I wish I were near enough to pay my respects in person.  God bless you Graeme, and keep you close.

I met Graeme many years ago in Park-10 in a machine shop about 10PM.  I was there to photograph one of his control modules and it wasn't quiet right yet so we came back the next day.  I unloaded all the equipment and started setting up and the modules still were not right.  About 7PM a bunch of guys on motorcycles came roaring in and I just stood there.  They got right to work and we soon had something to photograph.  As I recall we all had a beer to celebrate the work.  What a guy, never met a stranger and always made you feel you were important to him.

Every time we were with you and Graeme, he was always warm and funny and had a great story to tell. We are so sorry for your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

A mentor and valued friend for thirty years, Graeme brought the best out of people. He introduced me to my first drilling rig some thirty years ago of which numerous global trips and projects transpired over many years supporting the deepwater industry he was so passionate about. Upon starting an offshore project he would pull me aside saying "we will make em or break em" and begin picking out hands that he judged would not make the long haul on the project wanting to go home early. I lost many bets, and had to belly up at the first pub when we returned settling up.

In 1983 he made a statement to me which he lived by. 
He would say "Douglas my lad, remember this...we only have one thing in life at the end of each day". Our character my friend. Remember always show strong character so at the end of the day when you look into the mirror you feel good about the day and your actions. And he did.
 
Graeme you will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Your presence is now and will continue to be known thruout the world working in the worlds deepest and most critical ocean depths. 

Graeme, rest in peace my friend. I will think of you often.

From a young man backpacking around the world 21 years ago I'd heard of this mysterious, adventure loving distant cousin I had in Texas. Graeme and Shelley took me in  with a hospitality I will never forget. From teaching me how to shoot an M16, to driving in fast cars, I had the time of my life over those two weeks. Thanks mate, you will live forever in my memories.

He was the kind of leader you never wanted to disappoint. What I will miss about him was his unique way of making a point, often times it was as sharp as a dagger, but he was always right. I knew Graeme for a relatively short period of time, but his impact on my life will no doubt be felt forever. I'm a better person for having known this truly unique and inspirational man.

I first met Graeme in 1977 at Ross Hill Controls.  I only wish that I might have positively influenced his life as much as I felt his influence in mine over the subsequent thirty four years.  His pursuit of excellence and personal graciousness touched many more people, while leading the offshore industry into the future of enhanced performance and reliability through his vision of innovation, rigorous engineering, performance testing, and quality control.

At this time of loss, May you know... His compassion, His grace, His Love.

It has been my pleasure to work with Graeme for the last 20 years. From Syntron to Hydril to ATAG to Oceaneering. There was never a dull moment with Graeme. If you remember one of his famous statements, "There are three types of people", well, he was the one that "Made things happen". I will miss my friend, but know  that he is in better hands.

My younger cousin, Graeme, would arrive in Melbourne, Australia, from the small country town of Strathalbyn, South  Australia for the school holidays.  We city cousins thought we could show this kid a thing or two, but how wrong we were. We were the ones to be shown. Graeme would describe to us how to deal with  cows and sheep in the stalls at the sale, how to gut and skin a rabbit ,  how to use a rifle, and he astonished us by driving a tractor whilst still just a boy.  He grew into a kind, fun loving man, who welcomed my 20 year old son into his home, when he was travelling the world.  I think he may have advised him of a few things a young man should know, that his mother couldn't tell him. Thank you for that Graeme, and for being a beautiful human being.  I'm proud to have been called your cousin, Val

Siting here in Adelaide, listening to Bob Dylan and viewing photos of Graeme throughout his life. I can see his maverick spirit, his love for his family, his courage and charisma.He was an adventurous spirit who followed his passions with vigour. My mother Jude shares many of these qualities with her brother, I love the cheeky photos of them as happy children. Graeme lived a full life, he didn't watch the parade pass by, he was in the parade! I smile as I remember him.

All my thoughts are with you all at this time of your loss. I still have great memories of Graeme & I getting up to no good as kids & latter on when we were bit older in Adelaide.
Although we lost contact in later years, was & always be in my thoughts.

Saturday, I lost my friend of many years, we had lots of dreams and conquests both in the military and in business. I think the years we spent travelling the world being as we thought heroes were the best. I will think of you often Graeme as I have the last while with your last and hardest fight. You can now rest my friend and rest easy the world is a better place for having you in it, my thoughts will be with your family on friday Shelley and family anything at all I can do call. My friend is gone his family and legacy live on and you will be remembered.
