Glenda C. Williamson

Glenda Cleo Williamson was born in Houston, Texas to Jimmie and Gracie Southers on Saturday, February 27, 1943. She celebrated 80 years of life before passing away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 16, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.

Glenda is preceded in death by her husband, Travis E. Williamson Sr. 1931-2015; father, Jimmie C. Southers 1922-1967; mother, Gracie C. Cranford 1926-1999; sister, Reba F. Warner 1947-2009; sister, Judy C. McDowell 1950-2015; brother, Wesley D. Cardwell 1945-1995; great grandbaby, Avery J. Mauer 2012-2012; and great grandson, Carlos M. Esparza 2000-2022.

She is survived by her children, Sherry D. Tisdale, Travis E. Williamson Jr., Dena G. Williamson Belcher, and Rhonda K. Williamson Garcia; grandchildren, Stephanie Gutierrez , Charlie Morris, Jeffrey Woolard, Randy Woolard, Tanya Woolard, Tracie Begic, Rick Woolard, Sandra Woolard, Michael Belcher, Ashley Belcher, and Zachary Williamson; 35 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Glenda Williamson was an invincible matriarch. She was vibrant, resilient, tenacious and a very classy lady. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a nurturing soul and fierce spirit. She cherished every second she spent with her children and grandchildren. She always put her family’s needs above her own, and made sure they never went without, even during times of hardship. She made sure every birthday was celebrated, every holiday was joyful and memorable, and every child received a special gift. Her smile warmed your heart, her laughter was contagious, and her love unconditional. She will truly be missed, but her love and memories will live on forever in our hearts.

Serving as pallbearers are Jimmy Esparza, Michael Belcher, Zachary Williamson, Jordan Morris, Noah Esparza, Elijah Esparza, Landon Mauer and Ethan Mauer.

Officiating will be Rev. Raymond McDonald with the Vineyard Church of Conroe.
