Gladys Irene Farley

Gladys Irene Janisch Farley, age 73 of Houston, Texas went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, September 11, 2022. Gladys was born February 10, 1949 in Houston to Arthur and Bessie (Kreger) Janisch. She spent her entire working life in the banking industry. Gladys loved her church and church family at Our Savior Lutheran, dedicating many years to teaching Sunday School. She was a lifelong Lutheran and made sure her daughter and grandchildren were raised in the church as well. Her grandchildren were what kept her moving and shaking in her later years. She loved watching them compete in sports and act on stage. Gladys is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Bessie, her brother Fred, and her husband Chester. Gladys is survived by her daughter Cristina, grandchildren Isabella and Justice, sister and brother-in-law Mary and Larry Hooker, nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. A service of remembrance will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church on Saturday, October 15 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran School.
