George E. Bennett

After serving as a Marine in WWII George earned a law degree and a real estate license and worked as an attorney for The Travelers Insurance Co. for 42 years. George professed his believe in Christ and was baptized in the Sulu Sea near the Philippine Islands.

George is survived by his loving wife Lou Bennett, and children George Jr., Pamela,

Lenn, Lani, Al, and Grace. Grandchildren include Tracey, David Lee, Lanae, Allison,

Maggie, Sam, Georgeanne, Catherine, John West, Brandt, Kate, Natalie, Grant, Winston and William as well as ten great grandchildren, including one on the way.

George and Lou traveled the world. His love for travel was surpassed only by his faith and his love for family.

A visitation for George will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A graveside service will occur Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
