Gentil is survived by his wife Eva of 57 years, daughter Claudia Calderon-Pakuszewski (Daniel), sons David Calderon, Julio Calderon (Susan), brothers Cenon, Cesar, Eliecer, Capitolino, Martin, Alfredo, Saul, sisters Doris, Luisa, Sara, Amparo, Marina, and grandchildren Kathleen Ashley (Theodore), Sarah Pakuszewski, Tomas Calderon, Victoria Calderon, Nicholas Calderon, James Calderon and great-grandchild Silas Ashley and many nieces, nephews as well as a large extended family. Gentil, was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone.
Gentil loved sports, especially soccer and Formula 1, where his favorite team was Red Bull. He enjoyed playing card games, get togethers and good food. Gentil was known for his generosity as well as his competitive spirit.
