Frank Anthony Cabets, 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Frank was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on August 9, 1931, the son of James Michael Cabets and Catherine Cerra Cabets.
Frank lived! He loved and lived each day to the fullest, and never met a stranger.
Frank was a patron of all animals, and there was never a stray unfed or without shelter if he could help it.
He was known to be a wealthy man, not measured by the coins that would jingle in his pocket, but by the family that surrounded him and fulfilled his heart and soul.
Frank was a healer. He bandaged scrapped knees and mended broken hearts.
He was a giver. He served his country in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant.
Frank was the pillar of wisdom and strength; the foundation in which his family built their lives upon.
He loved his wife of over 60 years. He was her “Honey!” To the family, he was a devoted, “Daddy,” and an irreplaceable, “Granddaddy.”
Throughout Frank’s life, if one would ask him what he thought would be his greatest accomplishment, without hesitation, he would say, “My Family!”

He Only Takes The Best
God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around you
and whispered, "Come with Me".
With tear-filled eyes we watched you
suffer and fade away.
Although we loved you deeply,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard-working hands put to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
