Francisco was born to Francisco Romero, Sr. and Filomena Manacup Romero on April 3, 1953, in Agoo, La Union, Philippines. He served in the US Army for thirteen years and was stationed in various parts of the world, including Germany, Korea, and Kuwait. Francisco served in the Desert Storm and Desert Shield operations for eight months in the Middle East, specializing in communications.
Francisco moved with his wife, Ruth Romero, to Texas after being stationed in Killeen. The two met in Groß-Gerau, Germany, after Francisco was stationed in Karlsruhe, Germany. The two settled in Houston, Texas, in 1989 after being married in the Philippines. Their only son, Joshua, was born in 2004. While in Houston, Francisco worked as a Telecommunications Contractor for Pfeiffer and Son, Ltd.
Francisco enjoyed eating good foods, with his favorites being steak and omelet. In his free time, he enjoyed watching reruns of Filipino movies starring actor Fernando Poe Jr. Additionally, Francisco was an excellent cook specializing in delicious breakfast foods.
Francisco was predeceased by his sisters Maria and Magda. He is survived by his wife Ruth and son Joshua, his sister Isabel and family, his sister Sally and family, and his sister Jeannette and family. He will be missed by all his nieces, nephews, family friends, and all those who knew him.
