Francisco was born on September 6, 1926. He was married to Matilde on January 22, 1950. They had five children.
Francisco is survived by his son Francisco Meza III (wife, Alicia Meza), granddaughters: Leticia Ruvalcaba, Lilia Sanchez, Stephanie Meza and grandson Francisco Meza IV; son Ignacio (Nick) Meza, grandson Nicholas A. Meza and granddaughters: Nicole D. Meza and Laurie M. Meza; daughter Dolores M. Henry (husband, Larry J. Henry) and granddaughter Allison P. Henry; daughter Melva M. Guerrero (husband Frank G. Guerrero) and grandsons: David S. Barajas and Frank G. Guerrero II; daughter Jessica Meza and grandson Jordan A. Meza. He also has 17 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Francisco is also survived by brothers: Paul Meza, Raul Meza, Lorenzo Meza and sisters: Rita Leal, Ofelia Meza and Rosa Meza.
He was preceded in death by his wife Matilde; parents Francisco, Sr. and Pilar Meza; his brothers: Isidor Meza, Sr., Felipe Meza, Albert Meza and Ignacio Meza and sisters: Guadalupe Meza, and Maria Rachel Meza.
He loved to play dominoes, paint, do word puzzles and work around the house. He was an avid Astros fan.
Francisco worked as a piano technician for Pace Piano Company for many years and later worked at Berkeley Eye Center for 23 years. As a tribute to Francisco’s hard work and dedication to Berkeley Eye Center, they created an award in his honor, The Frank Meza Spirit of Berkeley Award.
