Evelyn M. Murria

Evelyn Mary Murria age 90, passed away peacefully in her Houston home on June2nd, 2022. Evelyn was born in Montclair, New Jersey on March 17th, 1932 to Mary Elizabeth (Johnson) and Clarence Armstrong. Evelyn will be remembered by the various ways in which she touched the lives of those around her. Her years of employment spanned several years before retiring at age 65. She was a very devoted member of the Family of Faith church as well as a sponsor for World Vision for over twenty years.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Lauren Moore; sister Eleanor (Jerry) Hart and partner Bernard Hackney; grandson Justin Lynn and spouse Beth Lynn; grandson Ryan Moore; granddaughter Marissa Moore and partner Paula Russell; great-granddaughter, Aleigha Santibanez; great-granddaughter Alyvia Lynn and great-grandson, Isaiah Lynn. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Evelyn is preceded in death by mother, Mary Armstrong; father, Clarence Armstrong; husband of forty years, Lawrence Murria; brothers, Alvin and Clarence Armstrong; sisters, Betty Foreman and Doris Galvin; son-in-law, Roger Moore; nephew, Albert Galvin.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a viewing at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek on Wednesday, June 8th at 12pm; followed by a home going service for Evelyn at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Saint Jude in her honor.
