Evelyn Olivia Beckner (Howell) passed away June 4, 2017 with her family by her side. She was born November 2, 1921 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Henry Blaha in Snook, Texas. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to many. She was one of the original Prince’s Drive-In car-hops in the 1940’s. She was an avid gardener, lotto player, bingo winner and made coupon usage an art form. She had a generous heart and loved helping people. Her gift bags during the holidays will be missed. She is proceeded in death by her first husband, William Wright Howell, Sr., son William Wright Howell, Jr., second husband Wayne L. Beckner, sisters Ruth Fenack, Bessie Krenek, Elizabeth Lednicky, Doris Blaha, and brother Charles Blaha. She is survived by her son Warren Howell and his wife Paula, son Robert B. Howell and wife Maribel, stepson Don Beckner and his wife Linda and stepson Fred Beckner and his wife Carolyn as well as 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Evelyn was a member of the SPJST Lodge #88 for 76 years. Visitation for family and friends will be June 7, 2017 from 7-8 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 10 AM also at Memorial Oaks followed by Committal Service.
