Thank you so much for your kind words. The world has lost a wonderful man, one that left imprints in a lot of lives. The best part of my life was by his side throughout 31 plus years, and learning and watching a person who loved life and enjoyed it everyday. One that worked hard, and made it look easy, one that showed others how to live, and not worry so much about the little things. He loved travel. He loved good food and drink, he loved his many friends, and he loved his family. I am a better person for knowing him, and will miss him forever. On the road again, my love..

Gene, I think a number of us who attended your Celebration of Life yesterday felt you were there in Spirit, enjoying the gathering and smiling right along with us.  It was a lovely way to honor your life and the positive impact you had on so many people.  You will live on in our memories forever.  Patti and Don Lindsay

I'll remember Gene as a man who always smiled and had an encouraging word for people. He loved my sister and they had lots of good trips.

Sue and I will always remember Gene as a wonderful, happy person with an unmatched zest for life. 

We go way back to the 1960's when Sue and I worked with Gene at Bank of the Southwest. Gene supervised the original Data Processing Department and gave me my first opportunity when he hired me. 
It was the start of a lasting friendship with many fishing trips and ongoing telephone conversations. Gene always had an infectious laugh that would spark up our talks. We will miss this very much.

My dear sweet Sister I am wishing you peace, comfort and courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your heart.  I can't take away the pain and hurt that you are feeling but I will always be here for you.  Gene loved you so much, you were the perfect pair.

Veronica and I will miss Gene very much! We always loved listening to his and my sister Cynthia's stories about his traveling and fishing adventures. He and Cynthia were married one week before Veronica and I. Time just flies by especially if you love each other like they did.

Both Don and I are still struggling with the realization that Gene has completed his journey in this life.  Don will miss Gene more than words can ever express.  Their usual daily phone calls (sometimes twice a day) to discuss world events, sports, or one of their favorite old movies coming up on TV are events that will leave such a void in Don's life.   Their many days fishing together and our time spent with Gene and Cindy as a couple through the years are irreplaceable memories.  We will continue to miss Gene for the remainder of our lives.  May He continue to rest in the Loving Light of God until we all meet again.    Don and Patti Lindsay

So sad that Gene's gone, but relieved that he's no longer in pain and discomfort.  My wife Joy and I (Gene was in our wedding) have many good memories of Gene from the old Bank of the Southwest days, where we together attempted daily to liven up the staid old bank.
