Esther Rios Melendez, 87, passed away on February 22, 2019 surrounded by her family. She is the wife of Tony L. Melendez and shared 64 beautiful years together. Born in Kendleton, Texas on December 2, 1931 to Samuel and Elizabeth Rios. Her life career was a beautician and owned a beauty salon for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Tony L. Melendez; her children: Melinda Sanchez, Ricardo Melendez, Melva Melendez, and Larry Melendez (wife Marie V. Melendez). Her grandchildren: Lee Sanchez, Jennifer Gomez, Vincent Melendez, Erica Rice, Marissa Martir, Matthew Melendez, and Angela Sherrill, and many great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
The funeral service will be held at Brookside Funeral Home at 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 6pm for visitation. Eulogy at 7pm. Graveside burial will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 2:30 pm.
