Ernest Ray Raines beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother passed away on April 30th at the age of 86. He was born on March 15th 1931 in Humboldt, Tennessee. Ernest is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret J. Raines; a daughter, Naomi Raines Penn and a sister, Louise Chapman. He is lovingly survived by sons; Frazer Raines and wife Barbara, John Mark Raines, Paul Edward Raines, Timothy Raines and wife Yim-Mie Nevle; daughters; Glenda Holleman, Denise Brown, Stella Raines Mire and husband Ken,Trish Raines; brother Robert William Raines, Jr. and wife Pat; sister, Kathleen Hutchinson; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at First Colony Church of Christ, 2140 First Colony Blvd., Sugar Land, TX 77479. Private interment will take place at Forest Park Lawndale cemetery.
