Erin Elizabeth Mitchell, 60, passed away September 30, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in 1956 to Robert and Margaret Mitchell, Erin grew up in Houston and graduated from Westchester High School. She attended and graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in accounting. Erin was immensely creative and immensely generous. She had a tremendous gift for needlepoint, winning many awards for her work, and deeply loved giving gifts to others. Erin lived at Inwood Manor in Houston, Texas, many of whose residents and employees were touched in some way by Erin’s love, attention, and time. If a life is to be measured by the warmth and care one person gives to another, then Erin truly lived a rich and full life. In her career, Erin served for many years as the controller for National Realty Consultants, where she worked alongside her brother-in-law, Ron Little, and many other dear friends.
Erin was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Margaret, as well as her sister, Robin Ann. She is survived by Ron Little and Janet Kellogg, as well as her nephew and his wife, Mitch and Kelly Little, their children whom Erin adored, Matthew, Molly, and Lucy, and her cat, Spike.
The committal service will take place at Memorial Oaks Cemetery on the tenth of November at 10am.
