Emil Hermis Sr.

Emil Wayne Hermis at the age of 52 of Houston Texas lost his battle to Leukemia February 14, 2017. He graduated from MacArthur High School and went on to own a successful business named “Hermis Landscaping” He loved to fish and to hunt and just being outdoors. He was fun-loving and enjoyed being a father. He was funny and loved by all. After the death of his father, Ernest James Hermis he then fell on hard times but God brought him back to us and we are thankful every day for this time we all got to spend with him before God called him home. He loved just being alive and being with his family. He enjoyed life even at its worst.

Emil was the only son of Ernest James Hermis and Dinah Hermis Bachmeyer. Emil’s stepfather was Dennis Bachmeyer. Emil is preceded in death by his father Ernest James Hermis. He was the only brother of 3 sisters, Michelle Bates-Lunsford and Diane Schrakamp and half sister Terrie Dobard. He was the father of 5 children: Emil Wayne Jr., Treg Clayton , Chad Ronald, Hayley Shawn and Karah Nicole. He was also the grandfather to 4 grandchildren: Gavyn Clayton Ernest, Emil Lucas, James Theodore and Kinsley Faith. He also has nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He has gone to be with our lord and savior and many family members who have passed before him. Emil is loved and will never be forgotten.
