Emelita L. Villegas

Emelita L. Villegas, age 82, of Humble, Texas passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022. Emelita was born in Manila, Philippines on November 20, 1939 to parents Pedro Libranda and Iluminada Baldeo. She met Froilan Villegas in Manila and married on June 20, 1968. Emelita worked in the medical field and worked alongside Dr. William J. Dickey for 15 years. She also worked in the foodservice industry with United Airlines for 9 years. Emelita was a member of the Tonettes and has a passion for singing.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, parents, and children Marichu Villegas, Rowena Villegas and Froilan Villegas Jr.

Emelita is survived by her children Rosanna Villegas, Romilna Villegas, Marissa Villegas Tabing and husband Marlon, Mylene Villegas Real and husband Frankilin, and Paul John Villegas; grandchildren Justin Tabling, Kobe Tabing and Maiko Real.

A visitation for Emelita will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home. A rosary service will occur Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 527 S. Houston Ave, Humble, Texas 77338.
