Elton Leo Huegele , age 92 passed away peacefully on May 24, 2013. He was preceded in death by loving wife of 65 years, Lucille, his parents, his sister Lorene and brothers Olan and Herbert. Elton was a veteran of the US Air Force and proudly served his country during WWII in the Philippines. Elton is survived by his daughter Barbara Sokol and husband David; his son Michael Huegele and wife Karen; his grandchildren Brian Sokol and wife MaryAnne, Amy Quirsfield and husband Eddie, Michael Sokol and wife Robin Sokol and his greatest joy, his 8 great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Ian, AnneMarie, Addison, Eryn, Emily, Zoe and Matthew Elton who were dearly loved by their PawPaw; and Granddog Axl. He is also survived by his sister, Thora Williams, brother and sister-in-law Red and Betty and sister-in-law Evelyn Huegele.
Visitation with the family will be from 5 until 8 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2013 at Brookside Funeral Home Champions. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in the Mary Chapel at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 19222 Tomball Pkwy, with The Rev. Charles J. Samperi Celebrant. The Rite of Committal will follow immediately at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
