Elizabeth Ranstead Williams passed away April 8, 2015 at the age of 92. She was born August, 17, 1922 in Whiting, Indiana and raised in Evanston, Illinois. She graduated from Northwestern University and married Robert P. Williams in 1944. They moved to Houston, Texas in 1951. They had two boys, Ridge and Scott.
Betty was a delightful and amusing lady and loved the theatre and acted in many plays. Her favorite activities were golf, birdwatching, knitting, gardening and Taping for the Blind. She was a member of Riverbend Country Club and spent many enjoyable days playing golf with her friends. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, her sister, Marie, and her son, Robert E. Williams. She is survived by son Scott R. Williams, daughter-in law, Jill A. Williams and grandchildren, Jason Jennifer and Victoria, and daughter-in-law Tommie Jean Williams and grandchildren Sam, Whitney, and Maggie and great-grandson, Ridge.
A memorial service will be held at Forest Park, 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston, Texas 77077 on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 10 a.m. The family will receive visitors at 9 a.m.
