Elizabeth H. Taylor

ELIZABETH (BETTY) HALE TAYLOR, 85, entered into the presence of the Lord on April 22, 2011. Her loving family was at her side during her final days. Elizabeth was born in Houston, Texas on January 2, 1926. She grew up in Galveston, Texas and moved to Houston as a teenager. After graduating from Lamar High School, she attended Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, and later graduated from the University of Houston. Elizabeth and her husband Ash raised five children in Pasadena, Texas. She taught French, Spanish and English as a Second Language at South Houston High School, and retired from the Pasadena Independent School District in 1986. Elizabeth loved being involved with her church family and missions throughout the world. Preceded in death by her husband Joseph Ashton (Ash) Taylor III, daughter Kathlyn (Kathie) Taylor King, and grandson David Lee Taylor. Survived by children Ashton and wife Jane, Shannon, Ann, Kerry, and grandson Eric, granddog Arloas well as numerous extended family and friends. A Funeral service will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home chapel on Friday, April 29th at 10AM, with Reverend Bruce Bumgardner officiating.
