Elizabeth Grochett, 96, passed away on August 12, 2022 surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Elizabeth was born on February 10, 1926 in Anderson, Texas to Joe and Antonia Macejewski. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold J. Grochett and her only son, Harold G. Grochett.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Thomas Phalen and daughter-in-law Mary Beth Grochett Moxley.
Grandchildren: Joey Grochett (Trish), Kristie Shields (Monte), Daniel Phalen (Maria), and Christopher Phalen (Julie). Eight great grandchildren: Cameron Grochett; Rylee, Cayden and Baylee Shields; Danielle and Aaron Phalen; Cullen and Megan Phalen.
Canine companion Daisy, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
Elizabeth was a devout Catholic and member of Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Parish for many years. She was an avid gardener, animal lover, and devoted Astros fan.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 5-8 pm, at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 26777 Glen Loch, The Woodlands, TX. 77381. Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:00 am, at Sts. Simon and Jude. Burial to follow at 1 pm, Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. All are invited to a luncheon afterward.
Pallbearers are Joey Grochett, Monte Shields, Cayden Shields, Daniel Phalen, Christopher Phalen, and Cullen Phalen.
Honorary pallbearers are Cameron Grochett, Aaron Phalen, Keith Macejewski, and James Singleton.
