Elizabeth "Ann" Hogue

Ann was born in Marlin, TX on July 13, 1938 to William Nathan Martin Jr and Gladys Neal Martin. She is preceded in death by her parents William Nathan Martin Jr., and Gladys Neal Martin, brothers Bernard Jasper Martin, William Neal Martin Sr., and sister Mary Jane Pullam.

Ann grew up in Montgomery TX, graduated from Montgomery High School in 1957. Early in life she met the love of her life Charles Hogue of Richards, TX. at church camp and were inseparable. They began dating when she was 15 and Charles was 17. They married on February 8, 1958, in Montgomery.

Ann wanted us to convey in her own words the following: “With a gracious and loving heart Charles and I appreciate everything and everyone that we have encountered in a lifetime. Keep a generous heart towards others. God has promised us all a home. Anyone that works hard can achieve the same. In God's name I pray. Amen “

She leaves behind many who love her. Charles most of all. She is survived by her husband Charles Dale Hogue celebrating 65 years of marriage, Son Dale Martin Hogue and wife Alice Hogue of Forney, TX and Diana Kaye Prather and Husband Ron Prather of Saltillo, TX. Grandchildren Katherine Ann Prather and spouse Joseph Duncan, Jennifer Annette Holliday and spouse Zane Holliday, Charles Austin Hogue, Cassandra Kaye Smith and spouse Dale Smith, Candace Elise Frizzi and Spouse Michael Frizzi and Leslie Ann Hogue. In addition,13 great-grandchildren Bristol, David, Carys, Dean, Jaxton, Evie, Elayna, Kaydence, Cameron, Jesse, Anna, Warren, and Wyatt.

Even with her loss we know she is still with us in our hearts and memories. Thru Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we can rest assured that we will see her again.

Visitation with the family was held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Waltrip Funeral Directors. Funeral services began at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, at Chapelwood United Methodist Church - Fair Haven Campus, 1330 Gessner, Houston, Texas 77055. Burial followed at 3:00 p.m. in Bays Chapel Cemetery in Richards, Texas 77873.
