She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesus Gonzalez.
Elia is survived by her five devoted children: Jesse J. Gonzalez, Cynthia (Raul) Vega, Arthur Gonzalez, Monica Y. Jacobo, and Eric (Meg) Gonzalez. She also leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren and nine precious great-grandchildren.
Elia lived a vibrant life filled with love, joy, and generosity. Known for her deep passion of music and dance, she brought light and energy wherever she went. Her commitment for nurturing young minds led her to serve as a teaching assistant for many years, where she shared her love and kindness with countless children until her retirement.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Elia had a unique gift for making every family event unforgettable. Her creativity and attention to detail transformed birthdays, holidays, and celebrations into truly spectacular memories that her children and loved ones will forever treasure.
Above all, Elia will be remembered for her kind and caring nature, her unwavering affection and her deep love for her family. She dedicated her life to making others feel loved, valued, and supported, and her presence will be surely missed by all who knew her.
A memorial and rosary will be held in her honor on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, located at 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. The burial service will take place the following day, Friday, October 18, 2024 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
